How do I find whats in the site
Easy, we recommend that firstly you go to the Index, which contains all the main sections, and also details of the sub sections, both of which you can click on to move around the site. From thereon you can just hit the links at the top or bottom of the pages or return to the Index.
How do I find a London hotel?
You have a choice of 3 ways to select your hotel:
- By Location: firstly you will be presented with a Map of Central London which shows the main areas and landmarks. Click on your chosen area for a larger, more detailed map of that Area and numbers which represent hotels in that area.
- By Star Rating: you will be presented with a list of hotels in Star rating order from B&Bs to 5 star.
- By Hotel Search: by inputting your criteria for location, star rating and price range you will receive your chosen list of hotels.
If it's your first time to London may we suggest that you first of all go to Londons Neighbourhoods and Landmarks which is located in the London Information section where you will find details of areas and landmarks/attractions to give you an idea of where you want to stay and then proceed to Select hotels by Location.
Failing that, rest assured that London is very compact with extremely good communications, particularly the tubes, so you are almost certain of being accessible and close to the action
Dont forget each time you are presented with a list of hotels you have the choice of viewing the browse version or the full details version.
London/UK Hotels Ratings/Categories and what they mean in money terms
There is a wide range of accommodation in London and due to the fact that most of the hotels are converted Victorian properties, room sizes will vary and as with most cities bedrooms tend to be smaller.
Hotels are classified by star ratings which are recognised as an internationally accepted standard, ranging from the basic to the most luxurious hotel. As a rule they tend to be rated slightly higher than in other countries, for example a three star hotel in London will be the equivalent of a two star plus in other countries.
We have tried to give you an idea of what you can expect to pay for a room (these are the normal prices, the special LHR ones are much discounted) in the different categories but due to the diversity, please understand that these are approximate.

Please explain about the various Hotel Rates, VAT and Room Types
What are Normal Rates?
These are the rates that a hotel would charge if you booked directly with them.
What are LHR Special Rates?
These are specially discounted rates that we can offer you when you book through us. We are able to negotiate these discounted rates for you as we place a lot of bookings with London hotels.
What is VAT and is it included in the LHR rates?
VAT stands for Value Added Tax (currently 17.5%) and the good news is that most of the LHR rates are inclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.
We realise that Room types and their definition can vary across the globe so we have included the following, hope it is of help:
Room Types
Single Room
This is a room for one person with one single bed which is usually approx. 3 x 63" or 0.92m x 1.9m.
Double Room
This is a room for two people with one double (queen-size) bed which is usually approx. 46" x 63" or 1.37m x 1.9m.
Twin Room
This is also a room for two people with two single beds approx. 3 x 63" or 0.92m x 1.9m.
Triple Room
This is a room for three people with one double (queen size) bed and one single bed OR three single beds. Please state your preference on your booking form.
Quad Room
This is a room for four people with two double (queen size) beds OR one double (queen-size) and two single beds OR four single beds. Please state your preference on your booking form.
Apartments
These offer more space than a hotel room and normally have a separate lounge area, bathroom and kitchen. They range from a studio to three bedrooms and sleep two people per room.
It is worth mentioning that some hotels, particularly in the 3 star category, or below have rooms that can accommodate more than four people so please request this on your booking form.
Cots are normally available but should be requested to make absolutely sure.
How do I make a booking at a London Hotel?
When you have selected the hotel you want to book click on the BOOK NOW! button to take you to a Secure Booking Form hosted on our secure server that guarantees a safe and smooth transaction.
Please complete the form including your credit card details; please see the next heading as to why they are required. Once you submit the form all the information on it will be encrypted on its way to our server. We will immediately send you an e-mail to confirm that we have received your booking request and are dealing with it.
Rest assured that your booking or enquiry will be dealt with promptly although we guarantee to respond to you within 12 hours which is solely due to allow for different time zones.
For other ways to book/enquire please call us direct from the details at Contact Us.
What if I no-show or need to cancel/amend a reservation?
Your booking confirmation will contain your hotels cancellation policy as they do vary, although it is normally 24 hours before arrival. After this time for any cancellation the hotel will normally charge your credit card for the first nights accommodation which will also happen if you no-show without cancelling.
Any cancellations or amendments should be e-mailed to us with details of your booking number. We will immediately confirm back to acknowledge receipt.
Why are my credit card details required and what happens to them?
Hotels require credit card details in order to secure/guarantee your reservation as without this the hotel risks being left with an empty room and no one to charge for it.
Together with details of your confirmed booking we pass your credit card details to your hotel who will not make any immediate charge. You will agree payment details on arrival. Should there be a no-show (please see above heading How do I make a booking) your credit card will be charged the day after arrival.
